Gorgias Alternatives: Pricing and 8 Options for Stores

Gorgias alternatives for Shopify stores: Gorgias pricing, AI Agent fees per automated interaction, and Tidio, Re:amaze, eDesk and flat AI chat.

TL;DR. Gorgias is built for Shopify brands: order details, refunds and edits live inside every ticket, and you pay by ticket volume instead of per agent. People look for alternatives when ticket overage and AI Agent fees ($0.85 to $1.00 per automated interaction) climb during peaks, when they sell on several marketplaces, or when they’re a small store that mainly needs an AI to answer “where’s my order” and “do you ship to Canada”. Below: Gorgias pricing as of October 2026 and eight alternatives with verified prices.

We make Feedbot, an AI chat widget with a light inbox. It’s a good fit for small stores that want AI answers on the site at a flat price, and a poor fit for a support team that needs order editing inside a full helpdesk. We’ll be clear about which is which.

Gorgias pricing in 2026

Gorgias sells a helpdesk priced by tickets per month, plus AI Agent priced by automated interactions. From Gorgias’s pricing page, as of October 2026:

Plan Helpdesk only (monthly) Helpdesk only (annual, per month) With AI Agent (monthly) Tickets/month Automated interactions included
Starter $10 Monthly only $40 50 30
Basic $60 $50 $90 300 30
Pro $360 $300 $550 2,000 190
Advanced $900 $750 $1,430 5,000 530
Enterprise Contact sales Contact sales Contact sales 5,000+ Custom

With AI Agent on annual billing, Basic is $77, Pro $471 and Advanced $1,227 a month.

Gorgias overage and AI Agent pricing

The plan table on the same page lists what you pay beyond the allowance:

Starter Basic Pro Advanced
Ticket overage $0.40 per ticket $40 per 100 $36 per 100 $36 per 100
Per automated interaction $1.00 $0.90 $0.90 $0.85
User seats 3 500 500 500

Gorgias says you pay for AI Agent only when it resolves a conversation. In practice, a store where AI handles 400 chats a month on Basic pays for 370 extra automated interactions ($333) on top of the $90 plan, plus ticket overage if total tickets go past 300.

Why stores look for a Gorgias alternative

  • Peaks raise the bill. Black Friday, a viral product or a shipping delay can double tickets. Ticket-based pricing follows.
  • Two meters at once. Tickets and automated interactions are counted separately, which makes the month hard to forecast.
  • Shopify focus. Gorgias integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Magento, but teams selling mainly on Amazon or eBay often prefer a marketplace-first helpdesk.
  • Small stores don’t need a helpdesk. If one person handles support part time, a ticket queue with macros and views is more tool than needed.

Cost example: a store with 600 chats a month, 400 handled by AI

Tidio Growth + Lyro (monthly) ~$409 Growth from $59 + Lyro 500 tier at $350
Re:amaze Basic, 2 users (monthly) ~$390 $58 + 390 resolutions × $0.85

Feedbot Pro $19 1,000 conversations included, no seats

This isn’t apples to apples. Gorgias, Tidio, Re:amaze, eDesk, Richpanel and Zendesk give your team a full inbox with order data from your store. Feedbot answers from your store’s pages and policies; checking a specific order needs an Action that calls an endpoint you provide (Pro plan).

The 8 best Gorgias alternatives

1. Feedbot (ours)

What it is. An AI chat widget that answers shoppers from your store pages, shipping and return policies and FAQ, in the shopper’s language. It can show buttons, collect contact details as leads, and hand off to your team through Telegram, Slack, Discord or email. Your team can reply live from Telegram or the dashboard inbox, and replies continue by email when the shopper has left. Refund and cancellation requests become tickets for your team instead of promises from the bot. See our ecommerce chatbot page for the store setup.

Pricing. Free: 50 conversations a month. Starter $5 (100 conversations, website import). Pro $19 (1,000 conversations, no branding, Actions, API, webhooks, team members). Business $49 (5,000). +500 conversations for $10. No seat, ticket or per-resolution fees. Pricing.

On Shopify. There’s no Shopify app. You paste one script tag into your theme; the Shopify guide walks through it.

Choose it if you’re a small store, most questions are about shipping, returns, sizing and product details, and you want the AI to answer first at a flat cost.

Skip it if you need order edits, refunds and customer history inside a helpdesk, or social DMs and email in one queue. Gorgias or another helpdesk below does that.

2. Shopify Inbox

What it is. Shopify’s own free chat app with an AI sales associate that learns from your catalog, policies and store content. Source: Shopify Inbox on the Shopify App Store.

Pricing. Free.

Choose it if you’re on Shopify and want basic chat and product help at no cost.

Drawbacks. Shopify-only, and not a helpdesk: no ticket queue, SLAs or multi-channel inbox.

3. Tidio

What it is. Live chat, a helpdesk and the Lyro AI agent, popular with small stores.

Pricing. Free plan with 50 human-handled conversations. Starter $29 a month, Growth from $59, billed monthly (2 months free on annual). Lyro is separate, from $39 a month for 50 AI conversations up to $700 for 1,000. Source: Tidio pricing. More in our Tidio alternatives post.

Choose it if you want a friendly live chat with AI help and order status lookups on Shopify.

Drawbacks. Lyro counts a conversation as soon as it replies once, whether or not it solves the question.

4. Re:amaze

What it is. An ecommerce helpdesk with email, chat, social, FAQ pages and an AI agent.

Pricing. Basic $29, Pro $49, Plus $69 per team member per month, with 5, 10 or 20 AI resolutions per user included and $0.85 per extra resolution. Starter is $59 flat for unlimited team members, limited to 500 responded conversations a month. Source: Re:amaze pricing.

Choose it if you want a Gorgias-like helpdesk at a lower entry price.

Drawbacks. Per-seat pricing on the main plans adds up as the team grows.

5. eDesk

What it is. A helpdesk for sellers on marketplaces and webstores, with order data from each channel.

Pricing. Essential $39, Growth $89, Professional $119 per user per month billed annually ($49, $115, $149 monthly). AI Agent is included on every plan at $0.99 per outcome, charged once per ticket. Source: eDesk pricing.

Choose it if you sell on Amazon, eBay or several stores and need one inbox.

Drawbacks. Per-user pricing, and Essential covers one store or marketplace.

6. Richpanel

What it is. An AI-first ecommerce helpdesk with self-service and a money-back automation guarantee.

Pricing. Helpdesk $99 per seat per month on annual commitment ($119 monthly). AI agents are billed in credits ($0.50 annual, $0.60 monthly), around $0.20 per conversation by Richpanel’s estimate, with a $200 monthly AI minimum. Entry with one seat and AI starts at $299 a month annually. Source: Richpanel pricing.

Choose it if you have high volume and want to push automation hard.

Drawbacks. The $299 entry point is steep for small stores.

7. Zendesk

What it is. The general-purpose omnichannel helpdesk, with Shopify apps in its marketplace.

Pricing. Support Team $19, Suite Team $55, Suite Professional $115 per agent billed annually. AI agents: 5 to 10 included resolutions per agent per month, then $1.50 committed or $2.00 pay-as-you-go. Source: Zendesk pricing. See Zendesk alternatives.

Choose it if you’re a large brand with voice, many channels and a big team.

Drawbacks. Not ecommerce-native; per-agent and per-resolution fees.

8. Help Scout

What it is. A simple shared inbox with docs and live chat.

Pricing. Free for 5 users and 100 contacts a month. Standard $25, Plus $45, Pro $75 per user. AI Answers $0.75 per resolution. Source: Help Scout pricing.

Choose it if your store’s support is mostly email and you want ease of use over order tooling.

Drawbacks. Lighter ecommerce integration than Gorgias.

Who should stay on Gorgias

  • Shopify brands with a support team. Editing orders, issuing refunds and seeing lifetime value inside the ticket saves real time.
  • Teams with many part-time agents. No per-seat fees is a big advantage over Zendesk, eDesk or Re:amaze.
  • Brands using AI Agent actions for cancellations, discounts and order tracking, where automation offsets the per-interaction fee.

How to choose

  1. Count tickets, not just chats. Add email, social DMs and chat for a normal month and a peak month. Price both.
  2. Decide what the AI must do. Answering policy and product questions needs only your store content. Changing orders needs an integration with your store. Our chatbot for small business guide covers the simpler case.
  3. Check your sales channels. Shopify-only: Gorgias, Shopify Inbox, Tidio, Feedbot. Marketplaces: eDesk.
  4. Test on real questions like “where is my order 1234”, “can I return a sale item” and “do you ship to Canada” before you migrate.

Migration notes

  • Export tickets, customers and macros from Gorgias before canceling. Helpdesks such as Zendesk, Re:amaze and eDesk offer import help.
  • Rebuild your top macros first; they cover most volume and make good AI training text.
  • For an AI chat tool like Feedbot, import your store pages, shipping and returns policies on a paid plan (knowledge base docs), then remove the Gorgias chat snippet from your theme and add the new one.

Questions

Can't find an answer? Ask the bot in the corner, or write to us.

How much does Gorgias cost?

As of October 2026, the Gorgias helpdesk is $10 a month for 50 tickets, $60 for 300, $360 for 2,000 and $900 for 5,000, billed monthly. With AI Agent added, the plans are $40, $90, $550 and $1,430 a month, including 30, 30, 190 and 530 automated interactions. Extra automated interactions cost $0.85 to $1.00 each.

Is Gorgias worth it?

For a Shopify brand with a support team handling hundreds of tickets a month, often yes: order data, refunds and edits sit inside every ticket and seats aren't charged per agent. For a small store where an AI could answer most questions, the per-ticket and per-interaction fees can cost more than the job needs.

Does Gorgias charge per agent?

No. Gorgias prices by tickets per month, not by agents. Starter includes 3 user seats and the other self-serve plans list 500. You pay overage when you go past your ticket allowance.

What is the cheapest Gorgias alternative for Shopify?

Shopify Inbox is free and built into Shopify, with an AI sales associate. For an AI that answers support questions from your policies and FAQ, Feedbot starts free and costs $19 a month for 1,000 conversations. Tidio has a free plan for live chat, with its Lyro AI from $39 a month.

Can I switch from Gorgias without losing ticket history?

Export your tickets and customers from Gorgias before you cancel. Helpdesks such as Zendesk, Re:amaze and eDesk offer import help. An AI chat tool doesn't need old tickets; it learns from your store pages, policies and FAQ.
